Chilis

I bought a portable watercolor palette yesterday that I've been wanting for a long time, and also a sketchbook that will apparently be the only sketchbook I will ever need.

And I think they're right.  This sketchbook is awesome and durable!

I'm usually terrified when it comes to painting things in color.  I don't really trust myself to have the best judgement - but I also wanted to cast this fear into a fiery oblivion and conquer it.  What better subject to do it with than chilis?

I will say that it took me a lot longer to get the ellipse of the bowl down than the chili's themselves.  And I still think it's wonky.  :/
