Rice Porridge and a Funeral

These drawings were done at my relative's place in San Diego.  My mom's uncle passed away, so we gathered at his house to be with the family and just share family time together - Lao style.  Which means a lot of eating, drinking, gambling, cooking, and cleaning.

I was sitting in front of this gigantic pot of rice porridge soup - and pretty much everyone went to get some.
