It's almost that time again...
So, I've been going to CTN Animation Expo for the past two years now - and I am DEFINITELY going this year.
Unfortunately, I find myself being rather...unprepared for it portfolio-wise this time around. There are plenty of excuses to be had, but the fact of the matter is this: I was not disciplined enough to make my portfolio continually throughout the year. Shame on me.
However, the return of CTN also marks another, rather HISTORICAL event (for me):
This is big. ENORMOUS, in fact. Because not only have I been able to consistently update this blog, but I have been able to draw in it often as well. Like, at the earliest, a drawing every three days - and post it up - FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR. Whoa.
Sure there are some times that I haven't posted any drawings (like the last one), and lately I've been posting only once a week - but still...I was able to keep up with this thing for this long. It's rather refreshing, actually.
I finally compiled all the sketches that I have posted onto this site under the page "Past Sketches" (found at tabs underneath my banner) and it's a long page of doodles and sketches that I've done. It's interesting, because I can recall every thought, emotion, or situation I had with every drawing (which is remarkable since I have the memory of a goldfish).
So, I'm not going to beat myself up for not being super prepared like last year. I have been busy - I've been working. Life gets like that. Instead, I'm going to keep on drawing, keep on fighting, keep on going. There is always next time - and I'm just so happy and blessed to be able to stick with this for this long.
And! To my friends and followers, a hearty thank you. I know many of you, and there are a few that I don't know - but thanks for reading my blog and looking at my drawings. It means a lot to me.
So, thanks! This blog is almost a year old. I feel like I should celebrate.
