Pencils and Paperman
I'm seriously loving the pencil brush in Photoshop CS6. For some reason, I seem to have a better time using it on a lower resolution canvas rather than a higher one (I think the super big canvases make the strokes look too smooth).
It also reminded me of the new Disney short that's coming out called "Paperman". I've only seen some clips and behind-the-scenes footage but man it looks GOOOOORGEOUS.
So here's a doodle inspired off of the female lead. She has a much more rounded face around her cheeks (therefore, more interesting) - but I think it's similar. I have to watch it again.

Ahhhh I love the big one on far right most! Did you use any reference or was it all out of your head?
ReplyDeleteEr, no reference. I really need to get in the habit of referencing more..
DeleteNo way, i'm saying thats amazing then, throw all the reference out the window! But really, lavish straights and curves and gestures in these :)
